A classic New Vegas landmark has been updated to reflect its portrayal in the Fallout television series.
In the upcoming second season of Amazon’s Fallout adaptation, the creators have introduced a slightly different take on one of the most iconic locations from Fallout: New Vegas. Dedicated fans were quick to notice that the “Dinky the Dinosaur” statue is oriented differently than in the original game.
In the game, the prehistoric mascot peers out toward the vast wasteland, whereas in the Fallout series, the dinosaur has been repositioned to face the motel directly.
While Fallout: New Vegas fans have no control over the show’s artistic choices, they do have the tools to modify the classic RPG from Obsidian Entertainment to match the new visual canon.
A modder going by the handle LoneWanderer1987 has released a project on Nexus Mods called “Novac Pool”—this modification rotates the dinosaur statue to align with its appearance in the television series.
