Diablo with Tarkov-style mechanics: Vaultbreakers begins testing on Steam
Extraction mechanics are being integrated into the ARPG genre.
In early December, BetaDwarf began a Steam playtest for the action RPG Vaultbreakers, which employs extraction-style mechanics.
This is primarily a PvPvE experience, though the developers will also provide a PvE option — players will need to reclaim lost relics and make a getaway:
Tackle tense, bite-sized objectives that shift dynamically based on player and NPC actions. Someone might contaminate a wide area or unlock a hidden cavern, while another may initiate an ancient ritual. With each actor pursuing their own agenda, every session bristles with hazards and openings you can exploit or steer clear of.
