Greetings, Specialists,
As the holiday season draws near and we prepare to conclude an extraordinary 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on our collective milestones and share what lies on the horizon for Battlefield 6 in the coming year.
This has been a transformative year for our development team. From the introduction of Battlefield Labs and the global launch of Battlefield 6 to the integration of Battle Royale through REDSEC and the debut of Season 1, the journey has been relentless. This is merely the foundation; we remain steadfast in our commitment to evolving Battlefield 6 alongside our community throughout the year ahead.
A Sincere Thank You
Whether you are reading this between high-intensity rounds, traveling to visit family, or enjoying a hard-earned respite from the front lines, we thank you for your presence. Your unwavering support during our launch, the energy you brought to Season 1, and the “Only in Battlefield” moments you’ve shared have made this year truly unforgettable.
We’ve witnessed players of all styles find their home here: Battlefield veterans meticulously playing the objective in Multiplayer, REDSEC competitors hunting for the perfect insertion point, and Portal creators engineering experiences that defied our expectations. Each of you has left a unique footprint on this digital theater of war.
Your detailed feedback and constructive discourse have allowed us to iterate rapidly and prioritize the features that impact your experience most. We look forward to deepening this collaboration as we transition into the new year.

- Class Deployment Breakdown:
- Engineer: 28%
- Support: 27%
- Assault: 26%
- Recon: 19%
- Close Quarters & Recovery: Over 300 million shotgun eliminations and 2 million dedicated players utilizing defibrillators.
- Vehicle Superiority: 102 million aircraft downed, with Engineers alone converting more than 18 million tanks into smoldering scrap.
Voices from the Studio
We asked members of our team to share their personal highlights from the first year of Battlefield 6:
- “One of my favorite memories involved a quirky animation glitch with the sledgehammer that made the MP5 deployment look like a rare secret reload. Seeing the community capture the footage and treat it like an intentional Easter egg was brilliant.”
— Florian Le Bihan, Principal Game Designer - “During a Breakthrough match on the Empire State map, an attacker took me down with a melee strike on the basketball court. They spotted my developer tag and immediately rallied the entire lobby in All Chat to hunt me down. It turned into a hilarious, match-long pursuit of sledgehammer duels. We managed to defend Manhattan, but I spent half the time laughing at the chaos.”
— Oli Zielinski (spacebarisdefect), Technical Designer - “I was deeply moved by a story involving a long-term fan facing serious health challenges who feared they wouldn’t see the release. The team at Motive coordinated a private visit so they could play early, tour the studio, and meet the creators. Seeing the team rally for a single member of our community was a highlight of my career.”
— Alexandra Lucas, Game Writer II - “Hearing the roar of the crowd during the multiplayer reveal when we announced Portal was incredible. After dedicating nearly five years to the Portal tech across two titles, seeing that emotional payoff from the fans made every late night worth it.”
— Ricardo Rojas Avellaneda, Quality Designer I - “Watching the real-time player telemetry skyrocket as we opened the gates on launch day while sitting among my colleagues is a memory I will carry forever.”
— Oliver Andersen, Tech Lead
Community Spotlight: Portal

Legendary Community Moments
Your creativity continues to inspire us. From tactical masterclasses to bizarre accidents, here are a few clips that circulated through our internal channels this year:
- The Pacifist Challenge: A zero-kill victory in REDSEC Battle Royale.
- Inspiration in Motion: An incredible player dominating the field using only mouth-operated controls.
- Pea takes the lead in Battlefield 6.
- Virtual Photography: Stunning cinematic captures of the warzone.
- The Ultimate Flank: A textbook demolition of an enemy APC.
The Road to 2026
Planning for the 2026 roadmap is already well underway. In the coming months, we will reveal more regarding the evolution of the game, upcoming seasonal content, and our long-term vision. Our current focus areas include:
- Refining the Core: Ongoing balance passes and quality-of-life updates for Multiplayer, REDSEC, and Portal.
- Expanding the Arsenal: Developing new maps and weaponry designed to introduce fresh tactical layers.
- Live Service Evolution: Ensuring every future season feels distinct and engaging.
- Labs Integration: Exploring ways to migrate successful Battlefield Labs experiments into the permanent live environment.
- BR Solos: This remains a priority. We are currently navigating the technical requirements to ensure the experience meets our quality standards before providing a firm release window.
And for those watching the horizon… a certain agile scout helicopter is preparing for its return. We’ll have more to say about that in the new year.
Holiday Respite

As we transition into the holiday break, please take the time to disconnect and enjoy moments with your loved ones. Rest, recharge, and if you do find yourself back in the theater of war, remember to check your vertical clearance.
Our team will be taking a short hiatus to prepare for the challenges of 2026. While our communication channels may be quieter, our essential live support and anti-cheat teams remain active. You can continue to submit reports via the EA Forums or engage with fellow players on the Battlefield Discord.
From everyone at the studio, thank you for a monumental year. Happy holidays, stay safe, and we will see you on the battlefield in 2026.
