All the reveals in 2021’s Destiny Showcase for Witch Queen and Destiny 2: Season of the Lost
Bungie’s biggest livestream of the year promises loads of news
Bungie is hosting its Destiny 2 Showcase event on Tuesday, Aug. 24. The studio will reveal concrete details on next year’s The Witch Queen expansion as well as Season of the Lost — which also launches on Tuesday.
Ahead of the reveal, players know very little about both content drops. The Witch Queen will center around Savathun, the trickster sister of Oryx from Destiny’s The Taken King expansion. And Season of the Lost will follow Mara Sov and Osiris in a new adventure in the Dreaming City.
During last year’s Destiny Showcase, Bungie unveiled the future of Destiny 2 with Season of Arrivals, Beyond Light, the Destiny Content Vault, and two more expansions. Earlier this year, Bungie delayed The Witch Queen into early 2022 and also revealed the game’s unnamed 2024 expansion will end the series’ first saga — but not the franchise.
Bungie will launch Destiny 2: Season of the Lost and its opening salvo of content right after the Destiny Showcase ends.
