Activision boasts 97% of Black Ops 7 cheaters banned within 30 minutes

Activision released an update on the Black Ops 7 beta. In a post detailing Team RICOCHET’s efforts, the company says approximately 97% of detected cheaters were stopped within 30 minutes, and under 1% managed to enter matches.

The team shared the findings on social media, noting that cheat sellers “admit they currently lack reliable tools for Black Ops 7.”

Call of Duty has long been plagued by widespread cheating. The issue has become a major impediment to multiplayer success, turning modes like Ranked Play into a serious challenge for many players.

Team RICOCHET, established several years ago to combat cheaters in both multiplayer and battle royale modes, now appears to be producing measurable results.

Nevertheless, the anti-cheat’s automated features still rely on player support via reports.

“The automated system stops most cheaters before you ever see them, but your reports play a crucial role. They help improve detection models, refine countermeasures, and expand coverage,” RICOCHET said.

The team closed the message with:

“Fighting cheaters is an industry-wide challenge. We continue to roll out new systems, bolster protections, accelerate responses, and deepen data analysis. We are committed to transparency, community feedback, and continuous improvement in the pursuit of fair play.”
