14 Years After ‘Lego House,’ Ed Sheeran Reunites with Doppelgänger Rupert Grint in New Music Video

For the second time in fourteen years, Ed Sheeran and Rupert Grint reunite on screen. Back in 2011, Grint portrayed Sheeran’s doppelgänger and obsessive fan in the iconic “Lego House” video; now, the pair return in a brand-new clip accompanying the upcoming single “A Little More.”

Dropping this Thursday alongside the song’s release, the video opens with Grint emerging from prison—where he’s ostensibly spent the last decade and a half—and wandering through a landscape haunted by vivid recollections of his earlier transgressions. Intercut are flashbacks to the original “Lego House” footage, depicting Grint infiltrating a concert and impersonating the Grammy-winning star onstage.

Sheeran teased the reunion on August 4, captioning the sneak peek, “14 years later and @rupertgrint and I are back together. I dreamt up this outrageous concept after finishing the song; thankfully Rupert was all in. It’s a wild video for a track that’s equal parts energetic, playful, and irresistibly furious.”

The singer-songwriter confirmed that “A Little More” will appear on his forthcoming album Play, slated for September, predicting it may become a fan favorite. Prior to the official announcement, he shared a lighthearted Instagram video featuring himself and Grint singing along to its catchy lyrics.

The two have long celebrated their uncanny resemblance as fellow redheaded Brits. After Grint’s spirited turn in “Lego House,” he jokingly asserted on an MTV News sketch that Sheeran was a fictional character he’d invented.

“After Harry Potter, I craved a new creative challenge, so I invented a persona,” Grint quipped. “He needed an angelic voice and that signature wispy beard—so I grabbed a guitar, stocked up on flannel, and christened him Ed Sheeran.”
