Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm shooter with some severe steel vocalists

Singers from melodic demise steel bands together with Arch Enemy, Soilwork, and Dark Tranquillity come collectively to shout in Metal: Hellsinger, a brand new FPS about blasting demons in time to the music. Sounds a bit like Crypt Of The Necrodancer however far more m/etal, as I consider the children mentioned in 2002. See a number of the shouty violence within the announcement trailer.

There you’re, making an attempt to shoot via the demon hordes of hell, doing violence together with the soundtrack. “The more in sync you are with the rhythm, the more intense the music will become and the more destruction you will cause,” the blurb explains. Along with a narrative marketing campaign, it’ll have leaderboards and a problem mode. The motion on this trailer doesn’t look to have a lot oomph, although they are saying that is pre-alpha so there’s an extended technique to go and loads of time for polish.

Growlers lined up embrace Matt Heafy of Trivium, Mikael Stanne of Dark Tranquillity, Björn Strid of Soilwork, and Alissa White-Gluz Arch Enemy. It’s like my teenage years yet again.

Hellsinger is being made by The Outsiders underneath the attention of David Goldfarbs, who was the lead designer of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield three and former game director of Payday 2. The Outsiders had been beforehand making Darkborn, however formally declared that cancelled in April.
