While Crysis Remastered has not really won over critics, Cryytek has already started Crysis 2 Remastered as we have just discovered thanks to the leak of internal documents from the studio. Indeed, a contract between Crytek and Denuvo (the company that sells the well-known eponymous DRM system) has been found in nature, and it is noted that the latter relates to two games, namely Crysis Remastered and Crysis 2 Remastered. The release of the modernized version of the second installment in the series therefore seems only a matter of time.
Crysis 2 was originally released on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in March 2011, and by that time it had given gamers a hell of a lot of graphics, thanks to the adoption of the DirectX 11 API. Of course, since release Initially, the material has evolved greatly, and it is not strange that the Yerli brothers’ studio wants to take advantage of modern chips in order to bring their title up to date. We imagine that this remaster will arrive in the course of the year 2021, in the form of a cross-gen title that will be able to take advantage of the power of the ninth generation consoles to offer ray tracing, which will make urban environments of the game even more beautiful.
