Battlefield 6 Community Update: Winter Offensive Launch and Player Feedback

Hello everyone,

Following the release of Game Update 1.1.3.0 — Winter Offensive — many of you jumped in immediately, shared impressions, and reported bugs and odd behavior. We appreciate the rapid, detailed feedback; it helps us prioritize and act quickly.

Below is a concise status update on the problems we’ve identified, fixes already implemented, and our near-term plans. Since the update launched, the team has been triaging all reports — including issues affecting Breakthrough, the Firing Range, Portal, the Main Menu, and PC performance (notably intermittent micro-stuttering) — alongside other community-raised topics.

Several issues have been found and either resolved or are actively being addressed. We are preparing hotfixes for multiple items and are currently targeting the dates listed below. Some issues will need additional investigation and validation before a final patch is released.

Planned Hotfix Schedule

  • December 12 — Steam

    • We are shipping an early update to address micro-stuttering on Steam and to introduce improvements to the Main Menu and the Firing Range based on recent reports.
  • December 15 — PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, EA App

    • This hotfix will include fixes for Main Menu and Firing Range issues on console and the EA App.

Our aim is to keep you informed, show progress on fixes, and set realistic expectations for what’s coming next.

Issues Identified After Update 1.1.3.0

Below are the primary issues we’ve tracked since the update went live, along with their current status and what we’ve done or are doing to resolve them.

Battle Royale — Players stuck in insertion view

Status: Resolved

We identified a bug that could leave players suspended in the aircraft camera instead of dropping after the pre-round. This has been fixed via a backend change.

Battle Pass — Tier skipping on Winter Offensive Bonus Path

Status: Resolved

Tier skipping on the Winter Offensive Bonus Path was temporarily disabled while we investigated. The issue has been fixed and the Bonus Path now supports tier skipping again.

Soldier momentum inconsistencies

Status: Resolved

We confirmed players were losing excessive speed during chained jumps and while sliding. These movement momentum issues have been corrected so speed retention behaves as intended.

Daily Challenge XP rewards

Status: Resolved

The XP payout for Daily Challenges was mistakenly reduced from 5,000 to 3,500. This has been restored to the original value.

Conquest ticket count showing 1000 instead of 1200

Status: Resolved

Some servers displayed an incorrect Conquest ticket count. We’ve implemented a fix to restore the intended 1,200 ticket total.

Main Menu navigation issues

Status: Hotfix in progress

A subset of players experienced hard-locks on the bulletin panel, difficulty moving between menu tiles, or saw the wrong variant of Manhattan Bridge after selecting Ice Lock. We’ve reproduced these behaviors and applied a temporary mitigation while a targeted hotfix is prepared.

Micro-stutter occurring at regular intervals (Steam)

Status: Hotfix in progress

We’ve received multiple reports of periodic micro-stutter during matches on Steam. The team is finalizing a resolution. As a temporary workaround, setting your online status to Offline in the friends list may reduce the issue. A Steam hotfix is scheduled for December 12.

Firing Range — damage readouts and hit detection

Status: Hotfix in progress

We confirmed inconsistencies in damage numbers displayed at different distances and cases where targets did not register bullet impacts correctly. A hotfix addressing these problems is planned across platforms.

Bot statistics tracking

Status: Fix in development

Earlier this year we removed Bot kills from player stats but were unable to remove Bot deaths in the same pass, creating mismatched totals on profile pages. We temporarily re-enabled Bot kills to keep values consistent while we build a proper fix. We’re also exploring profile options that let you choose which stats to display.

Rubberbanding on minimum-spec systems

Status: Fix in development

Players running CPUs close to the minimum specification with low graphics settings may experience rubberbanding or hit-registration problems if the game can’t sustain a 60Hz simulation rate. To check, enable the Performance Overlay: Settings → Graphics → Advanced → Modify → Performance Overlay → Simple. If you see sim-rate drops, try capping your framerate in Advanced Graphics to reduce CPU load. We’re working on improvements for a future update.

Community Feedback — What we’ve heard

We’re monitoring community discussion and seeing several recurring themes we want to address.

Breakthrough

Following our 1.1.3.0 Update Notes, many players noted that the increased presence of attacker vehicles can make some maps harder to defend, particularly with smaller team sizes. Players suggested expanding anti-vehicle options, adjusting player counts per map, and refining objective placement and sector flow to improve balance.

We also observed reports of vehicles spawning while earlier ones were still active, increasing pressure on defenders. We deployed a tuning change yesterday to mitigate this and will keep monitoring for recurrences.

Your input is guiding our Breakthrough adjustments; we’ll share more details as future tweaks are ready to roll out.

Vehicles

We received reports of tanks taking unintended damage in specific situations. We addressed cases where projectile interactions behaved incorrectly and made vehicle damage zones more consistent to reduce angle-based inconsistencies. Several maps were adjusted to better manage vehicle flow and attacker momentum, and we fixed an issue where vehicle-mounted machine guns occasionally failed to register hits.

We’ve also seen increased feedback about air combat. Early next year we plan to lower jet cannon damage to extend pilot survivability, and beyond Season 1 we’re investigating a dedicated air radar system to improve situational awareness. As always, please keep sharing your experiences — tell us how vehicles feel now and which aspects you care about most.

Next Steps

We will continue validating fixes in development, collecting additional data from player reports, and prioritizing remaining issues by severity and player impact. Several items are already fixed or will be covered by the upcoming hotfixes, and further improvements are scheduled for later updates.

Thank you for your continued reports and patience as we work through the issues introduced with Update 1.1.3.0. Your feedback helps us act quickly and focus on what matters most to the community. We’ll keep monitoring and publish updates as fixes are released.
