Warner Chappell Production Music Brand Refresh: New Logo & Exec Hires

Warner Chappell Production Music (WCPM) is getting a global brand refresh and expanded executive team, among other changes in what the publisher’s production and custom music arm describes as its “biggest transformation in a decade.”

Led by WCPM co-heads Alec Sharpe (head of business development & operations) and Pat Weaver (head of production), the rebrand announced today (July 21) includes a new logo paying homage to the publisher’s signature gold crown and new website, which also serves as its flagship licensing tool for more than 135,000 songs. The company creates and licenses music for content creators, technology platforms and the television and film, sports, streaming, broadcast and advertising industries, with recent partners including the United Arab Emirates’ Pro League soccer team and Netflix docu-series The Lost Pirate Kingdom.

“We’re thrilled for the bright future ahead for WCPM and the opportunity to better serve our clients through unmatched service and a much-improved music search experience,” Sharpe said. “…This is the start of a dynamic new era in our evolution.”

The company has also named production music executive Julia Sassi its new head of WCPM France; and appointed the Los Angeles-based Sinéad Hartmann, formerly of BMG, WCPM’s new vp of licensing and music creative, where she will oversee the sync and creative teams in L.A., Nashville and New York as well as Canada and Latin America. Gavin Carroll, also formerly of BMG, has joined WCPM as senior creative director, licensing, based in New York, where he will work primarily with advertising clients.

Finally, WCPM has opened the doors to two new recording studios — Skylight Studios in Hollywood and Sandtrack Sound in Nashville — which are already in operation.
