If that sounds like a stretch, you’re not alone. Still, the Elder Scrolls 6 subreddit is flooded with threads dissecting the clip, and the community has spun up a level of excitement I haven’t seen since the Silkposting craze — which, to be fair, was fairly recent.

I assumed most of the reaction would be ironic, but numerous users appear to be earnest. “Good catch, 27 is an oddly specific number,” one commenter notes. “Feels like this actually might mean something,” another suggests. “Level 20 and speech increase to 27 is pretty specific.”

“The probability that a realistic release date (2026–2030) is shown is 5 in 100; the probability the other number is 20 is 1 in 100,” reads a longer post that even name-checks Scott Steiner for emphasis. “As they could be either way round that gives the chance of them picking such a combination at all to be 0.1%.”

They go on: “You might argue that smaller-number ranges like 5–30 are common for Skyrim levelling and that not every value is 1 in 100, but even so this doesn’t appreciably raise the odds. Practically speaking, the chance is near 0%. Some speculate that the speech increase from 26->27 implies a one-year delay, but that’s getting into wild territory.”

Not everyone is buying it. “We are cooked,” one redditor observes, describing the others’ reactions as “double deep-fried levels of cooked.”

Players report that Skyrim’s Switch 2 port “runs like wet a**,” beset by severe input lag that some say “genuinely makes it unplayable.”
