Weta Workshop Opens Pre-Orders for Olog-hai Statue from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Sauron’s ranks are set to bolster in strength and ferocity next year, as Weta Workshop prepares to release a stunning new Olog-hai statue inspired by The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Weta Workshop has officially opened pre-orders for their latest masterpiece: a formidable Olog-hai troll, a creature famously depicted during the climactic Siege of the Black Gate (the Battle of the Morannon).

Unlike their lesser kin, the Olog-hai were notably intelligent and immune to the petrifying effects of sunlight. Sauron utilized these resilient, swift, and brutal creatures as his elite heavy infantry—formidable shock troops clad in thick plate armor designed to crush any resistance in their path.

These giants were also proficient in the Black Speech and were tasked with operating massive siege machinery, including catapults, ballistas, trebuchets, and battering rams, to dismantle enemy fortifications.
