Following a string of Season 3 updates that introduced a hoverbike and a lounge area, players have been eager to see Nexon Games’ next steps. Project director Minsok Chu told in an interview that the nearest updates will prioritize refining existing systems rather than adding new activities.
Chu explained the team intends to polish the recently added features, notably the hoverbike and the lounge. In one of the latest patches the vehicle gained collision mechanics — it can now knock down and shove opponents. The developer says these kinds of improvements demonstrate Nexon’s focus on deepening content to make it more meaningful and useful for players.
The studio is also working to increase activity density on the Axion Plains map, boosting the number of events and quests. Current locations, including dungeons, will be used for time-limited events and special scenarios.
That said, new content hasn’t been ruled out. Update 1.3.6, released on October 1, introduced new swords that expand build variety and combat options. In November the Pioneer Module and a One-to-One Trading feature are scheduled to arrive — changes that developers describe as “very significant.”
The First Descendant is available free-to-play on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
