Numerous fans had anticipated a December launch for the Steam version.
The Steam release of BrownDust2 was expected around mid-December. The title has drawn attention for the revealing designs of certain female characters and for physics that accentuate the movement of body parts.
However, a week before the planned launch BrownDust2 was removed from Steam — both its store page and its Community Hub (forum) vanished.
The developers are aware of the situation and have reached out to Valve, but there are no further details yet.
At least 100,000 users had already added BrownDust2 to their Steam wishlists.
