Millionaire Says Buying GTA VI Can Save Players Thousands of Dollars
Rockstar Games’ new game is attracting a wide variety of people.
Players recently took notice of a video by British millionaire Mark Tilbury. The entrepreneur and investor decided to discuss the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI.
In his view, buying a copy of GTA VI for $100 can help players save up to $5,000. Mark calculated that a standard playthrough of the game will take about 80 hours, which works out to roughly $1.25 for every “hour of fun.”
However, Mark Tilbury explains that Grand Theft Auto VI also features side activities and an open world to explore. If you factor those in as well, it breaks down to $0.50 per hour of gameplay:
So, let’s say you play for 4 hours every single evening—that means you get 50 nights of fun. Compare that to going out to some venue: you can easily spend $100 in a single evening there. That is why buying GTA VI actually allows you to save $5,000.
If you assume that a person can truly afford to regularly spend $100 an evening, then Mark’s reasoning is generally correct. Judging by the comments, however, far from everyone can afford to go out like that every single night.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. There is currently no information available regarding a PC version of the game.
