Prince of Persia Fan Offers Ubisoft €5 Million to Save The Sands of Time Remake
Prince of Persia Fan Offers More Than €5 Million to Help Complete The Sands of Time Remake
A fan known as NachoRB says he is willing to help fund the completion of the canceled Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. His open letter recently went viral in fan communities.
Ubisoft Entertainment canceled development of the remake, but some fans still want to see a full remake of the classic. NachoRB says he is not seeking a share of sales or rights to the franchise:
My motivation is not financial gain, a share of sales, or any intellectual property rights. My sole goal is to help the remake reach players and give the community a chance to enjoy the work already completed. I have an initial budget of more than €5,000,000 that I am willing to contribute, subject to an official agreement, confirmation that the project is viable, and conditions that Ubisoft considers appropriate.

NachoRB added that he “understands that the decision to resume development rests solely with Ubisoft.” He does not intend to impose his creative vision or interfere with the company’s decisions.
He is now trying to find a way to contact Ubisoft Entertainment and send his proposal to the company’s executives.
