FFXIV already grants players the freedom to swap jobs on a single character and to toggle between saved outfits using the glamour plate system. The limitation has always been that gear was typically restricted to a narrow set of jobs. With this change, you can finally mix and match freely—plate for spellcasters, robes for tanks—opening up far more stylistic possibilities.
This update launches on December 16, 2025 as part of Patch 7.4, Into the Mist.
