If it sounds like I bear a grudge against this doormat, I promise I don’t — at least not entirely. It’s a perfectly serviceable welcome mat, stamped with the company slogan “Say Sorry, Be Nice” and the Rockstar emblem. That phrase, however, lands differently now that protesters adopted the slogan in solidarity with recently dismissed employees amid allegations of union-busting. Maybe my irritation is more justified than I thought.
