Rematch Season 2 Announced: 1v1 Mode, Arenas, and Key Changes

Sloclap has officially unveiled Season 2 of Rematch. This latest update expands the VR soccer experience with fresh content, headlined by the upcoming debut of a dedicated 1v1 mode scheduled for January.

In preparation for the new competitive format, the developers have introduced several quality-of-life enhancements designed to deepen player immersion. These include revamped goalkeeper animations and a refined movement and dribbling system, ensuring that actions on the pitch feel significantly more fluid and responsive. Furthermore, Season 2 introduces two stunning new environments: Clouds VR and Dragon Bay VR.

Progressing through the Battle Pass is now faster than ever, as the experience required per token has been drastically reduced from 1,750 to 800 XP. The studio is also exploring the addition of daily and weekly objectives to keep players engaged, though these features are currently under evaluation.

The 1v1 Limited Time Mode is slated to arrive with Patch 8 in late January and will be readily available for selection in custom matches.

Looking further ahead, Sloclap is preparing Patch 9, which will feature Discord-inspired cosmetic items and unique custom titles for victors of community-run events.

To maintain the integrity of competitive play, a new penalty system has been implemented: players who prematurely abandon matches will now face a 3-minute matchmaking restriction.
