No — Black Ops 7 Isn’t Releasing Three Days Early

Recent chatter online suggested that anyone who pre-orders the Vault Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 would receive a 72-hour early-access window, effectively shifting the launch from Friday, November 14 to Tuesday, November 11. The claim originated on X.

Adding momentum to the speculation, Call of Duty League commentator Miles Ross replied to a related post with “that’s what you guys think,” a brief response that only fueled further discussion. His reply is available on X.

However, those reports are inaccurate. Polygon contacted an Activision spokesperson, who stated that “those rumors are completely bogus — the game is not launching early in any fashion.”

Offering early-access windows for purchasers of special editions is a common industry practice, but it would be unprecedented for Call of Duty—until now the franchise has generally limited early play to multiplayer beta periods.

That said, the Black Ops 7 Vault Edition does include a range of in-game bonuses—operator skins, the Blackcell battle pass, and five mastercrafted weapons among them. Even so, buying the special edition does not grant early access; players who pre-order will still need to wait for the official release date to play.
