New Tomb Raider Game to Be Officially Revealed at The Game Awards — Lara Croft Returns
The Tomb Raider series remains one of the gaming industry’s most influential franchises, with Crystal Dynamics’ trilogy still setting the benchmark for the genre. Many years have passed since the last entries, and fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a new release.
Organizers of The Game Awards have confirmed that the next installment will be unveiled during the ceremony. The event’s official profile hinted at a premiere, and all indications point to a reveal of the product of Crystal Dynamics’ years-long efforts following the franchise’s transition into the care of Embracer and Amazon.
Leaks suggest the game will represent a new chapter for Lara Croft rather than another origin tale. She is expected to return as a seasoned, fully formed treasure hunter, and her upcoming adventure is said to usher in a fresh era for the series.
There are also whispers that a remake of the original 1996 game may be announced.
The Game Awards will begin on December 12 at 3:30 AM MSK.
