Modder Releases Teaser for Galerians Remake on Unity 6 Engine
Developers plan to add the option to switch to a modern camera style.
Players have recently revisited the 1999 PlayStation 1 game Galerians, as Matt Croft published a trailer for the Galerians Revamped demo. The project is being developed by the Argentinian studio CatDreamsAR, with Caleb serving as producer.
The developers shared that they plan to re-record the voice acting with new actors and rework the character models. Instead of pre-rendered background images, the game uses fully detailed 3D environments. Players in Galerians Revamped will be able to choose their camera mode, with options for the classic fixed camera as well as a third-person view similar to modern games.
Both camera modes can be seen in the trailer:
Alongside Matt Croft, Briins Croft also works at CatDreamsAR. The modders stated that they started out with fan remakes of Resident Evil Code: Veronica and the Resident Evil Remake in 2020, and have spent recent years working on Galerians Revamped.

Galerians Revamped is planned for free distribution. The “The Demo 15F” demo on itch.io is approximately 2.5 GB in size.
