Prepare to hoist the sails again: Netflix has confirmed that One Piece Season 2 will premiere on March 10, 2026. In the upcoming run, Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates finally reach the Grand Line — a stretch of ocean that introduces wilder islands, stranger inhabitants, and higher-stakes adventures.

One of the season’s early destinations is Drum Island, a snowbound realm ringed by mountains and known for its perpetual winter. That is where viewers will meet Tony Tony Chopper in live action — a reveal first reported earlier this year — and the island’s eccentric physician, Doctor Kureha, who arrives when a member of the crew falls gravely ill. “It’s our medieval Winterfell,” co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer Joe Tracz told Tudum, describing Drum Island’s castle and its eerie, isolated feel.

Tracz adds that the scope of Season 2 expands dramatically: “Everything gets bigger.” Expect colossal encounters — giants like Dorry and Brogy on Little Garden — prehistoric creatures, and the emotional reunion with Laboon when the crew winds up in the belly of a whale. These set pieces underscore the season’s ambition to scale up both spectacle and heart.

If you haven’t yet dived into One Piece, this is a good moment to catch up before March 10, 2026. The story centers on Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a buoyant young pirate who dreams of becoming King of the Pirates by locating the legendary treasure left behind by Gold Roger — the One Piece. Accompanying Luffy are his steadfast crewmates: swordsman Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), navigator Nami (Emily Rudd), marksman Usopp (Jacob Romero), and chef Sanji (Taz Skylar). Together they voyage through perilous seas in search of freedom, adventure, and destiny.
