Halle Berry and Colin Firth to Star in New Rom-Com
Academy Award winners Halle Berry and Colin Firth are set to headline the upcoming romantic comedy Otherwise Engaged, as reported by Deadline.
The film will also feature performances by Zoë Kravitz and Jack Whitehall. The story follows newlyweds-to-be Charlie and Gabby as they prepare for their big day. Their wedding plans are thrown into chaos by the arrival of Charlie’s father (Firth), a disgraced former tycoon recently released from prison, who finds himself falling for Gabby’s mother (Berry).
The project will be helmed by director and screenwriter Suzanne Farwell, known for her collaborations with Nancy Meyers on hits such as The Holiday and The Intern. Production for Otherwise Engaged is scheduled to commence in the spring of 2027.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, it is a fun piece of trivia that both Berry and Kravitz have portrayed Catwoman: Berry in the 2004 solo film and Kravitz in 2022’s The Batman.
