Marathon experiencing issues with Twitch rewards
Bungie overlooked the possibility that players might simply lack the necessary inventory space to receive their rewards.
Marathon players are encountering a frustrating hurdle when claiming in-game items tied to the Twitch event celebrating the shooter’s launch. Bungie has issued a formal warning: these exclusive Twitch kits may permanently vanish if a player’s inventory is already at maximum capacity.
At the heart of the issue is the “Twitch Sponsored Kit”—a reward redeemable through the in-game notification tab after participating in designated streaming events. Once activated, the kit grants a randomized assortment of weaponry and gear for future deployments. Ideally, these items are automatically transferred to the player’s primary storage stash.
However, a critical design flaw has emerged. Unlike standard rewards earned through contracts or faction rank progression, Twitch kits are not redirected to an overflow queue when the vault is full. Instead, the items simply fail to materialize, leaving players empty-handed.
While Bungie is cognizant of the glitch, their current advice is for players to manually clear storage space before attempting to redeem the drops. Judging by the studio’s stance, a technical fix to prevent this loss of loot does not appear to be on their immediate roadmap.
