Helldivers 2 Modder Spends 569 Days Adding Warhammer 40,000 Orks and Vehicles
A modder known as Heloisezz has released a massive Warhammer 40,000-themed modification for Helldivers 2 after 569 days of development, replacing the Automaton forces with Orks.
Heloisezz clarified that the project does not introduce a standalone new faction into the cooperative shooter. Instead, it technically swaps Automaton units and object models with Ork counterparts. The creator noted that while optimization was a priority, the implementation may consume additional RAM, though it should not impact frame rates.

The “Warhammer 40k Xenos Incursion Mod – ORKS” package is available for free through Nexus Mods. The project also features complementary audio modifications from other creators:
- “Warhammer 40k Xenos Incursion Mod – Orks – Music Replacement” by Hengilore, which replaces Automaton-related background tracks with Warhammer 40,000 Ork music.
- “Warhammer 40k Xenos Incursion Mod – Orks – AUDIO” by RiqCrow, which replaces Automaton sound effects and voice lines with authentic Ork audio extracted from games such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.
