Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Developers Host Modding Event with Over €30,000 Prize Pool
TaleWorlds Entertainment has launched the War Sails Modding Competition for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord in collaboration with modding hubs ModDB and Nexus Mods, offering a prize pool exceeding €30,000.
The event follows the recent release of War Sails, a free DLC containing naval tools designed to assist mod creators. The competition runs through November 22, and participants can enter projects into three distinct categories:
- Conversion Mod Contest: Modders are asked to build conversion mods utilizing features from the War Sails DLC, such as porting naval gameplay into different historical eras or fantasy worlds.
- 3D Art Contest: Creators step into the role of shipbuilders to design “anything from humble boats and trade vessels to mighty warships,” with no restrictions on era or culture.
- Scene Design Contest: Participants must create naval raid scenes.
TaleWorlds plans to open community voting in late November, allowing players to evaluate the submitted entries. The studio expects to announce the contest winners early next year.
Alongside the competition announcement, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and the War Sails DLC received technical patches aimed at resolving various bugs.
