The game averages around 700,000 players a day. Player numbers rise after major updates. Alinea Analytics estimates that adding the game to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog in August brought in 1.6 million new players.

In 2026 alone, Helldivers 2 sold more than 2.5 million copies and generated $81.1 million in revenue. The Arrowhead Game Studios title remains one of the most important live-service games in Sony’s portfolio.

Helldivers 2 is a co-op third-person shooter in which squads of space troopers fight alien bugs, robots, and other threats to defend Super Earth.
