Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV video shows hordes of Orks and Necrons in Last Stand mode
A new Battlefield Report video for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV shows off Last Stand, a survival mode in which Space Marines repel overwhelming attacks from Orks and Necrons.
In Last Stand, players face 20 waves of enemies. The developers warn that early attempts are unlikely to end in success, but say defeat is part of the journey: commanders will return to the battlefield, grow stronger, and gradually become capable of taking on any army.
The footage suggests the mode offers several hours of combat. Combined with the campaign’s more than 70 missions, Last Stand could make Dawn of War IV a substantial real-time strategy game.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV will launch for PC on December 3, 2026.
