Despite all of the notE3 showcases and bulletins this week, Konami haven’t introduced a brand new Silent Hill. Not even hinted at one. Despite the rumours that they may have two coming. Ah nicely. However, two notable issues have occurred within the area of quiet mounds:
1) Dead By Daylight launched Silent Hill DLC, including Cheryl Mason and Pyramid Head.
2) Konami put seven Silent Hill soundtracks again up on Spotify, together with the most effective one.

So, Dead By Daylight’s new Silent Hill chapter follows the 1v4 multiplayer horrorshow’s traditional DLC format: one new survivor, one new killer, one new tileset. Cheryl Mason is rocking her Silent Hill Three gilet and comes with three new perks, making her harder for a bit after being healed, giving her a bond with the Obsession, and letting her shield turbines she repairs. ‘The Executioner’ is lumbering round together with his large knife, which he can use to carve entice trails, and three new perks of his personal. And the brand new map is Midwich Elementary School, as visited within the first Silent Hill.
It’s good to see them once more, even when it does stay bizarre/dangerous that the manifestation of 1 man’s guilt has turn out to be a recurring Silent Hill mascot. Better to see Konami license Silent Hill to DLC than solely use it for pachinko machines.

Now to face the music. Over on Spotify you may once more hear the official soundtracks for Silent Hills 2, 3, 4, Origins, Homecoming, Shattered Memories, and Downpour. That’s a stunning quantity of rock ‘n’ roll, ambient synth, and industrial groaning from Akira Yamaoka, plus some songs from different folks. Silent Hill 2’s is superb.
