Support for EFT will not end with the 1.0 release.

The full version, Escape from Tarkov 1.0, is scheduled for release on November 15. The developers are gradually revealing their plans for the road ahead.

They recently took part in Tokyo Game Show 2025 and published a special video, where Battlestate Games’ head, Nikita Buyanov, highlighted several points.

After Tarkov’s launch, the team intends to expand the game’s universe. The first expansion, “Life of the Wild,” is planned to arrive initially, with events, a new location, and more content to follow.

The studio is also doing pre-production on other titles related to EFT. A console version of Escape from Tarkov is planned, but Buyanov did not provide a specific release timeframe.

“For me, Tarkov’s launch is part of a broader plan. I’m not overly worried because I trust we have an excellent team—they’ll cope and do what needs to be done. I believe our team, BSG, will handle everything well. I’m a little nervous, but not excessively. That’s okay. Again, it’s a large and complex task, but I’m fairly confident it will go smoothly.”

According to Nikita Buyanov, “all the haters” will be silenced.

Fans from the “Tarkov Meta Movement” community also shared Buyanov’s answer to a question about pets for the Hideout:

“We planned to add animals with the release version, but it didn’t work out. They’ll arrive roughly six months after release. A cat in the Hideout isn’t as high a priority as the game’s launch.”
