Escape from Duckov — $18 PvE game inspired by Escape from Tarkov hits 180,000 peak players and climbs Steam top-sellers behind Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders

SteamDB lists 117,473 players in-game right now, with an earlier peak of 182,509 today — impressive concurrent numbers for a fresh release.

At present, Escape from Duckov has 5,969 Steam user reviews and an overall score of roughly 95% positive. Bilibili’s support is clearly a factor — more than 4,200 reviews are in Simplified Chinese — but the game’s simple, satisfying loop appears to have wide global appeal.

The base price is $18, and it’s currently discounted 12% to $15.83 (offer available through October 30).

“This game is like quack, can’t put it down,” writes Steam reviewer Chad — a comment that captures the game’s unexpectedly compelling nature.

Featuring five distinct maps, more than 50 weapons, an upgradeable base, a skill tree, crafting systems, and multiple difficulty settings, Escape from Duckov is designed to keep players engaged. The developers estimate “50+ hours of content for a single playthrough,” and Steam Workshop support promises community-made mods and extras for those who want to extend the experience.

Some Chinese devs played Stardew Valley and loved it, but wanted something more “carefree” – now their anime life sim RPG is tearing up Steam Next Fest, and it’s hard to put down.
