The company is facing severe financial difficulties.

DON’T NOD is facing serious financial trouble. In its financial report for the first half of 2026, the company acknowledged that its continued existence depends heavily on securing external funding. Without a fresh cash injection, the developer may not be able to stay in business after January 31, 2027.

DON’T NOD reported that its operating profit plummeted by 56% compared to the same period in 2025, landing at just €6.1 million. Revenue also dropped by 14% to €6.1 million.

The company attributes the worsening situation to a general crisis within the video game industry and notes that investors have become significantly more cautious about funding new projects.

This creates significant uncertainty regarding the company’s ability to continue operations after January 31, 2027.

To try to avoid the worst-case scenario, DON’T NOD plans to carry out a major restructuring. The company intends to cut costs and modify its production process to release games more regularly and allocate its existing resources more efficiently.

However, these changes will also come with a severe downside, as up to 90 employees could face layoffs.

Since 2020, DON’T NOD has released Twin Mirror, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, Jusant, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and Aphelion.
