
Rising British actor Owen Cooper has been honored with a BAFTA for his compelling performance in the miniseries Adolescence. The accolade was presented during the recent BAFTA TV Awards ceremony.
Remarkably, this is just the latest in a long string of accolades for Cooper’s portrayal. He has already secured an Emmy, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Golden Globe, a Critics Choice Award, an Independent Spirit Award, and a Gotham TV Award.
In a surprising turn of events, Christine Tremarco, who portrays Cooper’s on-screen mother, also walked away with a win. She clinched the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress, prevailing over fellow nominee Erin Doherty.
