Following the stellar global performance of “Oppenheimer,” Christopher Nolan has ascended into the ranks of the highest-grossing filmmakers in cinema history.

Nolan’s cumulative worldwide box office total has climbed to $6.95 billion, securing him the third position in the all-time standings. He currently trails only industry titans Steven Spielberg ($10.9 billion) and James Cameron ($10.5 billion). In this process, Nolan surpassed the Russo brothers, the duo behind the “Avengers” franchise, who hold a total of $6.76 billion.

“Oppenheimer” debuted in mid-July and has consistently outperformed industry projections. Analysts anticipate that the film will cross the monumental $1 billion threshold by the end of this week.
