The creators of the metroidvania F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch debuted the first gameplay trailer for their new project — ZOOPUNK — during the Xbox Partner Preview show.
Announced in January 2025, the title serves as a prequel to F.I.S.T., chronicling the earliest days of the Animal Punk world. ZOOPUNK unfolds decades before the events of F.I.S.T., at the dawn of the First Torch War, when the discovery of the “fire seed” triggered a technological leap and simultaneously reawakened mechanical detritus, transforming it into sentient, ruthless war machines.
Unlike F.I.S.T., ZOOPUNK is presented not as a classic metroidvania but as a full-fledged action RPG. Players will traverse war-torn territories: blasted wastelands, an industrial stronghold, a rare oasis of purity, and a towering citadel.
