Xbox Preparing Largest Minecraft Update in 15 Years

Mojang will likely announce a new Sift dimension on September 26, potentially delivering the biggest Minecraft update in 15 years.

Microsoft purchased Mojang and Minecraft for $2.5 billion in 2014, and the brand continues to attract hundreds of millions of players worldwide. Xbox is preparing a Minecraft LIVE broadcast featuring mysterious new announcements, which will take place on September 26 at 8:00 PM Moscow time.

GameSpot reports that it has received information regarding a potential major announcement. GameSpot writes, “If our assumptions are correct, this could be the most important Minecraft update in 15 years.”

According to GameSpot, Mojang may introduce the Sift dimension. It is known that this dimension will appear in Minecraft Dungeons 2, which releases on September 29. If the rumor is confirmed, this will mark the first new dimension in Minecraft since the introduction of the End in 2011.

Three main dimensions are currently available in the game: the Overworld, the Nether, and the End.
