Postal 2 Redux Remaster to Get Apocalypse Weekend Re-imagined Expansion
Running With Scissors has announced that Apocalypse Weekend Re-imagined will be released as paid DLC for POSTAL 2 Redux and POSTAL 2 VR after launch.
Work on the POSTAL 2 remaster continues, and Running With Scissors recently posted a teaser on social media. The studio, which developed the original game, credited the community’s support for the announcement:
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: POSTAL has the best fans in the world! Thanks to this community, the POSTAL 2 Redux Kickstarter campaign has achieved incredible results, so we’re making it official: Apocalypse Weekend Re-imagined will come to POSTAL 2 Redux and POSTAL 2 VR as paid DLC after launch. You wanted a weekend—you’ve earned it.
Running With Scissors described Apocalypse Weekend as its take on a zombie apocalypse: “Here, zombies infected with mad cow disease fight the National Guard and terrorists—basically, everyone is fighting everyone else.”
Budget limitations made the original DLC more linear than the main campaign. Rather than recreate it one-to-one, remaster developer Impact Inked discussed with Running With Scissors the possibility of realizing the original vision, with an open world and numerous improvements.

POSTAL 2 Redux can be added to a Steam wishlist. The developers have not announced a specific release date, but the game is scheduled for 2027.
