World Ocean Day Festival returns to Steam on June 4

World Ocean Day Festival will return to Steam from June 4 to June 11, 2026. The event brings together developers, streamers, creators and players for a charity initiative supporting ocean conservation.

The festival is organized by Whale and Dolphin Conservation and the Games for Waves community. It combines a Steam sale, creator streams and fundraising for projects that protect whales, dolphins and marine ecosystems.

Since 2022, previous World Ocean Day Festival editions have raised more than 1 million pounds for marine conservation. The wider Games for Waves initiative has generated more than 6 million pounds for WDC work since 2014.

The organizers emphasize that participating games do not need to be ocean-themed. The 2026 lineup is expected to include titles such as Another Crab’s Treasure, Forever Skies, Spilled, Flooded, Still Wakes The Deep and No Man’s Sky.

Streams will run on the official GamesForWaves Twitch channel on June 4 and June 8, with an additional guest appearance on MCroft07’s stream on June 10. Developers can also join the initiative by donating a portion of event revenue to WDC.
