New Stranger Than Heaven Trailer Shows 1943 Osaka and Character Minato
A new trailer for Stranger Than Heaven showcases Minami, a 1943 district of Osaka where luxurious theaters and modern trends exist alongside strict wartime restrictions.
RGG Studio continues to explore different eras and settings within the game. Set against the backdrop of World War II in 1943, the city experiences a period of massive upheaval as people encounter new cultures, languages, and forms of self-expression that face increasingly heavy control.
Show business thrives amid these conditions. The trailer highlights one of the city’s largest theaters, while Makoto Daito handles the organization of musical performances. Competition among artists remains fierce.
There is also a less glamorous side to Minami, depicted through alleyways filled with various merchants. Among them is a weapon dealer, allowing Makoto to visit regularly in order to stay armed.
Stranger Than Heaven will release on January 15, 2027, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The game follows a protagonist’s story across five eras. The developers still need to show Atami in 1951 and Shinjuku in Tokyo in 1965.
