Winged Call of Duty: War Thunder Fans Criticize Gaijin Over Revealing Anime Girls From Senrai Maidens

Not every player appreciated the aesthetics — even a revealing neckline failed to calm the gamers’ ire.

The developers of War Thunder recently announced a crossover with Senrai Maidens, releasing promotional material that features anime-style characters.

Players can add several dakimakuras to their collections, and can also purchase themed Senrai Maidens bundles (vehicles + currency + cosmetic items).

Many community members are unhappy with the anime content in War Thunder, arguing that “Call of Duty was criticized for having anime/cartoon skins, and War Thunder has made the same mistakes that caused Call of Duty to lose out to Battlefield 6.”

Commenters noted that there is an option in the settings to disable “non-historical content.”

Some players guessed the collaboration was with a Chinese gacha title, but the trademark registry lists “Senrai Maidens” as a new intellectual property owned by Gaijin itself. The entry identifies it as Gaijin’s own IP.
