Grand Theft Auto VI features an immense amount of content and gameplay possibilities.

This summer featured the presentation “Grand Theft Auto VI: Extended Look”. Rockstar Games showcased a vast amount of gameplay footage, highlighting mission walkthroughs and various activities.

However, some players expected a traditional trailer consisting of a short video with a compilation of gameplay moments and voiceover commentary.

Well-known GTA and Red Dead Redemption community blogger ben (@videotech) drew players’ attention to a retelling of a statement by Rob Nelson.

The Rockstar North studio head previously spoke with Andy Cortez on the Kinda Funny Games podcast and explained why Grand Theft Auto VI did not receive such a gameplay trailer, opting for an extended look instead.

According to Cortez, Nelson explained that Rockstar Games did not want to make a video with voiceover text because they had already done similar things before, and GTA VI is very difficult to showcase due to having so much going on.

Cortez recounted Rob Nelson’s statement during the podcast:

We didn’t want to do something with a voiceover. That’s been done before, and this game [GTA VI] is generally very difficult to demonstrate because there is so much cool stuff in it.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 of this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not officially announced anything regarding a release window for the PC version.
