It appears Bungie is preparing more than just Marathon.
Players have been vocally critical of Destiny 2’s current state. Against this backdrop, reports have emerged suggesting Bungie has allocated resources to a full-scale new project.
Colony Deaks (Deakstiny) claims Destiny 3 is in development and that the project is currently at an “extremely early” stage.
According to the insider, they’ve had details about Destiny 3 for several weeks but intended to remain quiet while the project was still in such an early phase:
