The team behind “War of the Worlds: Siberia” has debuted a fresh Q&A video addressing community inquiries. The sequence was captured in a single continuous take within the historic Yermolova Theatre.
The developers reaffirmed that the game will follow a linear path, though players will be confronted with pivotal choices at key narrative milestones. The project aims to be a concentrated, high-quality experience devoid of artificial padding, while still providing diverse tactical options for navigating various sections.
Advanced graphical systems, including specialized tech for simulating realistic snow and fluid dynamics, have already been fully implemented into the engine.
The gameplay will feature formidable boss encounters, each boasting unique combat mechanics and custom-designed arenas.
Regarding the arsenal: players will rely on period-appropriate single-shot pistols and revolvers, such as the Mauser C96; however, more modern sidearms like the Parabellum, Colt, or Browning will not appear. To heighten the survival tension, there is no weapon upgrade system and inventory space remains strictly limited. Explorers may also discover loot hidden within safes, provided they can figure out how to bypass their locks.
As for a potential demo, the studio is currently weighing its options—it remains a possibility if they can finalize a representative slice of the game without impacting the main development timeline.
