Unexpected Contender for Game of the Year 2025: Dispatch Surprises Critics and Players
Lately Escape from Duckov and RV There Yet have been drawing attention, but an unexpected breakout hit has surfaced: Dispatch — a PS5 and PC release that has rapidly won the favor of both critics and players.
On Steam the title maintains an average rating of roughly 87%. Its commercial performance is striking as well — SteamDB shows Dispatch consistently sitting among the top ten revenue-generating games.
Numerous outlets have been equally impressed. Gaming Bible awarded it a perfect 10/10, calling it “one of the best games of the year.”
The review team wrote: “Dispatch is the embodiment of excellence. If future episodes keep up this quality, the game will be a genuine Game of the Year contender.”
It’s worth waiting for the complete release, since Dispatch is launched episodically. Only the first two chapters are available now. AdHoc Studio plans to roll out two new episodes each week — Episodes 3 and 4 on October 29, Episodes 5 and 6 on November 5, and Episodes 7 and 8 on November 12.
Dispatch review scores:
- Gaming Bible — 10/10
- ComicBook — 9/10
- COG Connected — 8.8/10
- Endless Mode — 8.7/10
- Bazi Center — 8.5/10
