Trailer Released for Second Part of Batman: Knightfall Animated Film
The sequel will follow Azrael’s transformation into Gotham City’s new protector.
Warner Bros. released the first trailer for the animated movie Batman: Knightfall Part 2 — Knightquest during Batman Day.
The sequel adapts the second part of the famous Knightfall comic book arc. After a clash with Bane, Bruce Wayne is severely injured and can no longer protect Gotham, so Jean-Paul Valley, known as Azrael, takes his place. The city’s new protector chooses a more brutal approach to fighting crime, which puts Bruce Wayne’s legacy at risk. Meanwhile, Bane continues to tighten his grip on Gotham.
Batman is voiced by Anson Mount, who previously played the role in the animated film Injustice. Michael Mando voices Bane, and Pablo Schreiber plays Jean-Paul Valley. Jeff Wamester, director of the Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths animated trilogy, directs the project, and Jeremy Adams wrote the script.
The first part of Batman: Knightfall was released digitally in August 2026. The second part will launch in late 2026, and the final installment will follow in 2027.
