Eidos Montréal’s new project has reportedly been in development since 2019.
According to journalist and trusted insider Tom Henderson, Eidos Montréal — despite recent staff reductions — is actively developing a new title under the codename P11. Sources say it’s intended to be an open-world action-adventure aiming for a 2026 release, and it’s being handled by the team that worked on Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Henderson states the recent round of layoffs at the studio is linked to the project that’s been in the works since 2019. With the core concept and many systems reportedly finalized, Eidos Montréal is letting go of personnel whose roles are no longer required.
It’s possible the new game will be revealed at The Game Awards 2025.
