The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29 with improved graphics, touchscreen support, and the “Ballads of the Past” expansion.

During a Nintendo Direct presentation, gameplay of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was shown for Nintendo’s new handheld console. The game will receive an update based on the next-gen version, featuring high resolution, improved texture filtering, lighting, and a stable frame rate in both docked and handheld modes.

The release includes the entire story of Geralt of Rivia, the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, and a full set of items inspired by the Netflix series. Touchscreen controls are also confirmed.

The “Ballads of the Past” third story expansion featuring Geralt will also be released on Switch 2. This new version will serve as a complete portable edition of The Witcher 3, significantly surpassing the technically compromised port on the original Switch.
