The Rogue Prince of Persia Surpasses 1 Million Players and Will Be Updated
More than one million players have jumped into The Rogue Prince of Persia since its early access launch in spring 2024, developer Evil Empire has announced.
The studio noted that this total represents player count rather than sold copies, as a portion of the audience accessed the game through subscription services like Ubisoft+ and Xbox Game Pass. Evil Empire moved the title out of early access a year ago, releasing version 1.0 on PC and select consoles before bringing it to Nintendo Switch several months later. The game earned positive reviews from critics, though it did not become a massive commercial hit.

Evil Empire plans to celebrate the player milestone with an anniversary update scheduled to launch across all platforms on September 17, 2026. The developer has not yet revealed what specific content or features the update will include.
