The Crew 2 Quickly Hacked — Hackers Make Offline Mode Publicly Available

The race now firmly belongs to the gamers.

Seven years after its release, The Crew 2 received an offline mode — and that immediately drew the attention of hackers.

They soon managed to breach the game’s offline mode. The offline experience carries restrictions: players cannot access user-generated content or any material linked to microtransactions.

The Crew 2 keeps online and offline saves separate — “Online and offline saves are separate. Progress achieved in offline mode will NOT be carried over to online saves” — so players will not be able to migrate offline progress if they later purchase the game.
